Chris' POV I knocked on the door of the trap house. Darrell opened up the door and I walked in. I took a seat in the smoke filled room which smelt of weed. He came back with my stuff. I paid for the dime bag of weed. It's the cheapest stuff, but it was all I could afford right now. He counted out the money. "Darnell wants to see you" Darrell said. Darnell was Darrell's brother. "Ight, where's he at?" "In the back" I walked to the back and knocked on his door. "Come in" I walked in his room and sat on the side of his bed. "What'd you buy?" He asked. "A dime bag" He laughed. "Still getting that cheap ass stuff?" "Your prices are outrageous, nigga" "I need a way to make money off niggas like you, who come in here at least twice a day." "But I have a way you can get some money to get off them cheap bags and get to the good stuff" He continued. "What do you have in mind?" "If you could sell a few things for me" I looked up at him. "What happened to your other guys?" "A few of em got caught, but you in?" He asked. I hesitated. "Lemme think about it" "Lemme think about it?" He laughed. "Think quickly" he said pushing me out his room. I stuffed my bag into my jeans pocket before walking out the trap house and walked back home. When I got home I saw Kennedy sitting on the porch steps crying. I slowly walked up to her. "What happened?" I asked. "Me and Diggy had another fight." I unlocked the house door and walked inside. "I don't see how yall are 'bestfriends' if yall fighting everyday. And why were you sitting on the porch?" She wiped up more of her tears. "Because I lost my key" "Are you serious? That's the second one this month Meechie! You can't just be loosing shit like that." I said. "Chill Chris, it's just a key. Why are you so worried?" I gave up. "Nevermind, it's not even important." I walked away from her upstairs to my room. I was pissed that she lost another one of her keys because any one of these niggas out here could find it. I owe a lot of people money, so they're looking for me. Kennedy just doesn't know about any of it. She just thinks I'm going crazy, but all I'm trying to do is protect her in the best ways that I can. It's hard having to try and keep this family up alone. Our dad walked away years ago, and our mom died from an overdose years ago. So it's just me and Kennedy here. I heard a knock on my door. "Yeah" I said. Kennedy poked her head through my door and sat down on my bed. "Listen I'm sorry Chris, I'm just fed up with all of this stuff with Diggy" She said. "It's alright, just don't loose another key" "I won't" "You said that the last time" "And this time I mean it" "Okay" Jessica's POV-The Next Week- I was walking around the neighborhood when I saw this boy get pushed out of this fucked up house. I walked up to him. "Are you okay?" I asked. The light skinned boy looked up at me. "Yeah, what does it look like? Damn bitches be trippin" he said standing up. "Are you talking about me?" I asked, confused. "You're the only other person out here." I rolled my eyes and walked away. All I was doing was trying to see if he was okay, but damn. Rude nigga.
