The next day Joe goes up the porch steps to demi's house and knocks on the door. He waits for a minute receiving no response and knocks again. After the third knock he becomes worried and begins to beat on the door yelling demi's name. He goes over looking into the window but he sees no one and wonders where she could have gone. Then as he is about to pull out his phone to call her, it rings. He sees an unfamiliar number but answers it anyways. He frowns a little puzzled, "Hello?" "Joe, it's me" The voice coming through the phone makes him sigh in relief; at least he knows she's on the phone with him right now. "Demi, I was so worried. Where are you?" There was a silence; she wasn't sure to tell him or not. He frowns becoming a little worried again, "Baby, where are you?" She sighs, "Im at the hospital" His eyes widen slightly as he becomes angry thinking about wat Jamie could've done, "Are you okay? Did Jamie hurt you?" Her tone becomes lower, "Im gonna be fine" He goes to his car getting in, "Tell me wat hospital youre at, im coming to get you right now" "Joe please calm down, im at the hospital downtown" "Im on my way" He hangs up and starts his car going down the driveway.
Once he gets to the hospital he asks the receptionist about demi's room number and rushes there. He walks in seeing her sitting up on the side of the bed dangling her feet. She looks up at, "Hey..." He goes hugs her close to him and kisses her head. Then he places his hands on her cheeks and he pecks her lips softly, "Are you okay baby?" She nods, "Im fine, the doctor said I could go home" "Then lets go" he grabs her hand pulling her to her feet, "You are coming home with me and don't you dare say anything about it" She smiles lightly, still sadly though, "You sound like my father" He pulls her, "Just comes on, you can tell how you got here when we get there" She stops him pulling her hand back, "We cant leave yet, we have to wait" He turns to her, "Why?" Before she could speak the doctor comes into the room with a needle in hand. He looks at demi, "Okay, Miss Lovato, after this shot you are free to go and this should clear up in about a week" Joe looks down at demi confused, "Shot for wat dems?" Demi ignores his question looking at the doctor, "Okay, thank you doctor." She holds out her arm then looks away as the doctor puts the needle in her arm shooting in the medicine. After he finishes he throws the needle in a wastebasket and gives her a band aid. He looks at her, "Now, remember to take it easy and relax; no sexual intercourse for 4-5 weeks okay? After that you should be healed and ready to go" She nods, "Okay" The doctor leaves and Demi walks limping slightly with Joe following. He frowns slightly, "Demi, I thought you said you were okay. Youre limping and wat was the doctor talking about?" She stops and looks at him, "Can we just go and ill tell you everything later?" He sighs, "Fine"
